Chapter 10: Thanks For the Memories

Warning! This chapter contains violence and some gore. Be warned.

    (3rd POV)

Adon lead his three guests back into the courtyard, waiting patiently for the third one to catch up. Arthur exchanged a glance with his two partners and turned to Adon, "Well, I suppose now would be a good time for us to speak with your king. We have some very personal news we were told to relay to him." Adon raised an eyebrow, "What would the news be about?" He asked, genuinely curious. Arthur glared at him, silencing the black haired man, "It is no ones' business except for the kings'. It concerns people of high ranking and high ranking alone." Adon stood up straighter, "I am the Kings right hand man. Anything he knows I must know as well." Arthur smirked, "Then you can hear about it afterwards. I'm sure the maids and knights will be all ears." He turned and requested a passing knight to lead the three to the kings court. The knight shot a nervous glance at Adon, who was trying to figure out what to say to get himself in on the top secret conversation. Arthur paid no mind to him as he urged the knight to go on. The man nodded quickly and showed them the way, leaving Adon behind, frustrated and confused.

"R-Right in here, sirs." The knight said, pointing to a large door with a shaky finger. Arthur nodded gratefully to the young man, "Thank you." He said before watching the boy quickly walk away. Before opening the door, he looked at Lukas and Vladimir, "Alright, you know what you have to do, correct?" Vladimir nodded, "Yep! I have to lock the door so the king can't warn the others." He repeated. Lukas nodded slightly, "And I have to take care of any guards inside." Arthur smiled, "Good, you remember." Lukas sighed, "Well, we do have fairly decent memory, you know." Arthur sighed too, "Oh yes, I always forget I'm working with competent people and not the American idiot and Frog-faced Frenchie." Lukas nodded, "I understand. I have to deal with the Dane." Vladimir perked up, "I really don't have a troublesome person in my group." He randomly pointed out, a fanged smile stretching across his face.

"Okay, showtime." Arthur whispered as he pushed open the great doors, revealing a plump man sitting upon a great throne, adorned in jewels and furs and an elegant robe. There were two guards who were carrying heavy weapons standing beside him, looking bored. Arthur closed the door before quickly turning around, sending his cape (Not his spying cape, a nicer looking one) fanning out. It hid the Romanian as he locked the doors with magic. The king smiled, motioning them to come closer. The trio walked forward confidently but politely, Arthur a step or two ahead of Lukas and Vladimir.

"Good day to you, sirs." The king greeted, "What do I owe this unexpected visit?" Arthur bowed down, "I apologize for so suddenly showing up, your Highness, but we felt as if you deserved to know of a very important prophecy."
The king looked intrigued, "Hm? What is this? A prophecy you say?"
    The three men nodded.
"Nobody informed me of this prophecy. I must hear it at once!"

Arthur stood up straight again, his jade eyes locking with the kings hazel ones, "The prophecy is not meant for all ears, sir. If you wish to hear it, we must be completely alone." He nodded to the two heavily armed guards, "Meaning, they must not be present." The king sighed, "While I don't feel comfortable being completely alone with you, I suppose it is a sacrifice I must make to hear the news you have traveled so far to tell me." Arthur smiled, "My two...men...will also leave the room." He nodded to a side door that lead further into the castle, watching as Lukas and Vladimir followed the two guards out, Vladimir giving a discreet wink to Arthur before closing- and locking- the door.

"Now that we are alone, I can tell you." Arthur started, closing his eyes.

"There was once a powerful empress of a distant kingdom. She had the most striking set of eyes you could imagine, (e/c) eyes that struck fear in whoever she glared at. Even though she was born a human, and her soul was humans, she had a very strong bond with dragons. She never feared them. Even the most powerful of dragons respected her. Because of this, many mortals feared her. But it wasn't just because of her ability to befriend dragons easily. It was her ability to summon them to her aid wherever she was. Not just regular dragons, mind you. Great, forceful dragons from all over the world. These dragons were known as the Dragon Lords, a breed of dragon that is superior to normal dragons in many ways. Only one Dragon Lord has ever been killed by a human before. Alone, they seem like your typical dragon, only stronger. But together, in the army the empress would raise, they were a near unbeatable force that could defeat even the strongest of armies."

"H-Hold on. I think I've heard this somewhere before." The king stuttered, raising a shaking hand to stop Arthur. Arthur blinked out of his thought, his eyes flickering with a discomforting glow. "Yes, your Highness?" The king blinked, gulping, "T-the empress, she was captured by humans and beat near to death, wasn't she?" Arthur nodded, "Indeed she was."
"S-So why are you telling me this...?"
"Well, you remember how the story never ended? Nobody knows what happened to the empress?"
    The king nervously nodded.
"Well, that's why I'm here. To tell you how the story ends. You see, it wasn't some folklore from centuries ago. It was a prophecy of what was to happen."
    "A-And, what is going to...?"
    "The empress will rise."
[Cue the epic music]
Arthurs lime eyes started to glow, only a little at first, but it became brighter and brighter until the king couldn't stand to look at it. He opened his mouth to scream, but it was no use. Arthur was suddenly standing before the king, his eyes no longer that of a humans', but a dragons'. The king once again tried to scream, but he was silenced by a dagger in his heart. His eyes widened as he looked up at Arthur, who took a step back as the king fell back into his chair, his body limp and the light in his eyes vanishing. Arthur closed the kings eyes swiftly before walking over to the door, knocking on it twice to signal Vladimir and Lukas, who had taken the time to jump the two guards and knock them out, to open the door. Vladimir unlocked the door and smiled, "Well, how'd the story go over?"
Arthur turned to make direct eye contact with the Romanian vampire, "Well, let's just say he was... speechless." Vladimir frowned, "Did you kill him? Why did you kill him?? I thought the whole purpose of me locking the doors was for him to not get out! What was the purpose of my being here then!?" Arthur shushed him, "It seemed like the cool thing to do." He walked forward, "Now, enough talk. We must head to our designated points before we transform. The others will be waiting for us." They all split up, Arthur running down the main hallway, Vladimir taking the hallway that led to the East wing, and Lukas heading upstairs to where the scopers patrolled on the wall.

Now they were in their positions, each one able to see the other two. Vladimir and Lukas glanced over at where Arthur was standing, at an open window in a tall tower. Lukas was positioned above a small training area, where many men were practice sword fighting. Vladimir was at the top of a shorter tower on the edge of the fort, close to the city. Arthur gave them a thumbs up, and, as if they had practiced this many times before, they jumped, their dragon-like eyes glowing.

The men looked up in confusion as they saw a blond haired man falling towards them, his blue eyes glowing. Suddenly, his body grew and morphed into a great dragon, it's midnight blue scales and dark claws crashing down on them. The Norwegian crushed many men under his feet, but he didn't look down, only focusing on the ones that were running terrified away. They only had fake, useless weapons to fight with, so they were frantically trying to reach their weapons. Unfortunately, Lukas was not planning on letting them reach their swords. A blue flame emitted from his mouth, more powerful than fire, leaving a scorch mark on the ground as it burned through the mens' armor. He turned to face another mob of men, these ones more prepared for battle.

Vladimir didn't jump off the tower. Instead he just transformed on the roof, his red and black wings stretching out to block out the midday sun. The shadow alone scared the squires on the ground. They all screeched and watched as the Romanian leapt off the building, diving towards the ground and landing on all fours. They turned and started sprinting for the large door where the weapons were held, but another dragon blocked their way. This one, while he didn't appear too frightening, scared them the most. It wasn't his outward appearance, but instead it was the green flame slowly seeping from his mouth. He stared down at them, his amethyst eyes sharp. The once feathery tail had become sharp and sword-like. He whipped his tail down, purposely missing the squires and making them turn around and attempt to run away. He shook his head, allowing them to run off. It wouldn't matter anyway, the three of them weren't the only ones that were going to fight here. The signal had been seen, and the rest were on their way. Instead, he turned around and crushed the entrance to the weapons room with a powerful forepaw, eliminating the chances of any men getting extra weapons.

(Meanwhile, at a mountain not too far from the city)

Alfred grinned widely as he saw the three bright flashes of red, green, and blue light from the castle. He turned to Francis, who was standing right beside him, "Did you see that? That was the signal! We can go fight, and rescue (name)!" He excitedly exclaimed, his blue eyes eager. Francis sighed, "Well, we're the second wave of attackers so you'll have to wait a little bit for the ground crew to do whatever it is they do." He raised a paw and ran it through his blond locks, "I hope my hair doesn't get too messy." He worried aloud. Alfred laughed, "C'mon dude! We're about to take down a huge freakin' castle! Didn't Arthur say somethin' about how it was the LARGEST fort in all the nearby kingdoms, AND that it had a HUGE army or something? How are you all not excited about it?!" Everyone else was, to say the least, nervous about fighting. Unlike Alfred, who had absolutely no experience with humans or their weapons (Not counting his first meeting with you), they had all fought armies before. Wang glared at Alfred, "You really are a stupid youngster. Don't you realize that you could potentially die there?" He asked sharply. Alfred shot a huge grin at Wang, "I won't die." He said simply. Wang raised an eyebrow, "How are you so confident?" Alfred puffed out his chest, "Because...I'M THE HERO! And the hero never dies, right?!" Wang sighed, "I wonder if I should tell him that heroes die a lot in stories..." He mumbled to Kiku, who hadn't said a word the entire time.

"Hey guys!" Feliciano piped up, "I think we're supposed to go now~!"
Everyone turned to see a huge part of the wall crumbling, which meant the ground crew had breached the wall. "Good job Feliciano! Alright, remember the plan, and don't give up until we've found (name)!" Francis directed, taking the role as leader. Alfred was already in the air, followed behind by everyone else as they flew towards the fort.

    (Back to the fort!)

"Adon! The wall! It's being breached by more dragons!" A man screamed. Adon looked behind him to see that the West wall was cracked and weakened by the force of something from the outside. Suddenly, the stone that held up the wall was smashed through, revealing another dragon. This dragon had blue and gold scales, and when he raised his head, he was taller than the wall. Two more dragon were beside him, one a light purple and the other black, red and gold. Adon took a few steps back as they continued ramming the wall, quickly breaching it and stepping over the rubble. The man had never seen so many dragons at once before, or such brightly colored ones. He narrowed his eyes, "Keep fighting men! Don't give up!" He bellowed, his voice carrying surprisingly far.

Darius and Fyn had been inside at the moment of the attack. Fyn had just been released for his midday meal, after a rather excruciating training session with Darius. He heard the sounds of maids and servants screaming, and he ran towards it. "T-The king! He's dead!" One of the servants screamed. He ran through the once locked doors and saw for himself the slouched body of the king, a dagger in his chest. Fyn shook his head, "What happened...?!" He wondered, trembling in fear. The maids shook their heads, "We don't know! We found him like this." A blonde one squeaked out. A brunette hushed the group of servants, who were quaking, "There is no time to wonder. Can't you hear the roars? Dragons have infiltrated the castle!" (At the moment, they were not aware of this. They were deep inside the castle) Fyns' eyes widened, "W-What?" The middle aged woman nodded, "Yes, and they'll probably destroy it too. Gather your things and evacuate the others. We'll escape through the East Wing." Fyn was still in a daze as the workers scurried off, warning the others of what they were to do. The brunette maid grabbed Fyns wrist, "Aren't you a knight in training?" She asked. Fyn nodded.
"Well, you'll have to help us evacuate. You won't survive out there anyway. There's at least three dragons out there."
Fyn shivered, "O-Ok. I'll wait for you guys at the East Wing."

(Short time skip)

"Everyone is here. Every servant or maid of course. The knights and warriors are all fighting." The brunette- Alys- (Pronounced like Alice) stated, standing by the door. The East Wing had little activity, so it would be perfect to escape from. Fyn was shaking, both from fear of the dragons and indecisiveness. He knew he shouldn't be running away, but if he didn't he would surely die. Alys peered outside, seeing no dragons nearby. She motioned for the men and women (There were about 50 in all) to follow her in little groups of ten. The first four groups went off without a hitch, but when the last group, Alys and Fyn included, tried to reach the door, they heard a huge amount of screams and roars. "ANOTHER WAVE OF DRAGONS! THEY JUST DON'T STOP COMING!" A scout shrieked right before getting knocked off his feet by the tail of a red and white dragon. Alys gasped and started urging the others forward, "Come on, we can make it. Only fifty feet to go." She kept repeating. Fyn thought he was in the clear, but a breeze from above made his heart skip a beat. A huge white dragon stood before them, his red eyes making his own widen. The small group of unarmed men and women trembled, too afraid to speak. Fyn didn't have a weapon either, so he couldn't fight it. At first it looked as if the dragon was going to burn them without a second thought, but after a few terrifyingly slow moments, he shook his head and took off into the air, letting them escape unharmed.

When they reached the outside, they all fell to the ground crying. Fyn thanked the white dragon for sparing their lives. Just then, he realized that (name) was still locked in her jail cell, horribly bruised and unable to move. He turned back, but Alys stopped him. "What are you doing? You're not going back there are you? It's suicide!" She told him, her face concerned for the young boy. Fyn looked away, "I'm not going back to fight. I'm going back to help a friend. She can't walk and she'll need to be carried out." Without another word, he turned back and ran into the castle, ignoring the old lady's words and pushing down his growing fear.

----------

"Take this, you villain!" Alfred roared as he brought his claws down onto the unlucky mans' head, knocking him out. "Alfred, you have to kill them, not knock them out! How are we supposed to ever win if they all wake up later on?" Arthur growled, snatching the knight up and crushing him beneath his jaws. Alfred flinched. "Dang dude, no need to be so gory." Arthur bared his now red stained teeth, "This is the perfect time to be gory because we're at war! Did you expect this to be all friendly and clean?" Alfred huffed, but didn't reply as a knight charged at him on a horse. Alfred was about to blast him with fire when he realized he didn't want to kill the horse. Instead, his plucked the knight off and let the horse run off. The knight struggled to free himself from the Americans' two claws, but to no avail. Alfred tried to build up the courage to kill him, but it was too painful to kill him in front of himself, so he closed his eyes and flicked his wrist, sending the knight flying to the other side of the fort, where he hit the wall and slumped down motionless. Alfred opened one eye, not sure where he had thrown it. Arthur rolled his eyes, "What do you call that?" He asked, blasting a group of men with his green flame. Alfred shrugged, "'Not wanting to witness his death...?'"
"For someone who kills animals without a second thought, you sure are a pissbaby. Even Frog face is fighting." Alfred turned to see Francis gracefully dodging cannons and swords, plunging the spade on his tail into their chests. He clenched his jaw, "I can do that to!" He roared, swiping his claws across the face of a different knight. The man let out a shriek and fell to his knees, his marred face bleeding profusely. Arthur huffed, "Now finish the job." He instructed. Alfred took a deep breath before incinerating the man in hot flames. He looked away quickly, and watched as Arthur nodded at him before taking off to find Peter.

Peter bared his milky white teeth at the HUGE mob he was facing. Ok, he wasn't REALLY facing them alone, Tino and Berwald were there. But he was fighting alongside Tino and Berwald so technically he was facing them. Tino swiftly flew around the mob to attack them from behind, keeping low to the ground as he did so. The men whipped around to face him, but Peter and Berwald were still on the other side. Berwald waited a few moments to see what Tino was going to do before swiping a massive paw across, knocking the men off their feet and sending their weapons flying as they lost their grip. Peter ran forward and searched for survivors, taking them out with Tinos help. Arthur called out for the younger dragon. "Peter! It's time." He landed in front of the Sealandic dragon, "Go get (name). She's in there." He pointed to a rather plain looking door. Peter nodded and rammed the door, bursting into a big dungeon. He started searching for (Name) immediately. It wasn't as easy as he thought. He thought she'd be in this huge cage in the center of the room, but there wasn't even a single cell in this room! He started running down the first hallway, his claws clicking against the stone floor. (He runs like a horse just sayin)

He skidded to a stop as he heard footsteps in front of him. Two men clad in just green coats (meaning no armor) turned the corner and stopped dead in their tracks when they saw Peter. Peter was just as surprised as they were and instinctively let out a huge cloud of smoke. He was actually trying to breathe fire, but instead he created a smokescreen. The two men started coughing and Peter took this time to push past them and continue. "Hey! He's tryna get to the dragon!" One of the men yelled, and they started running after him. Of course, Peter was much faster, seeing as he ran on four legs rather than two.

"(Name), (Name) are you around here? It's me, Peter!" The red, white, and black dragon called out. "I'm here Peter!" You called, letting your voice lead him to you. He turned the corner and sprinted for the cell. He slid to a stop and looked at the lock peculiarly. "Just rip it off." You told him. He nodded and used his claws to pry it off, seeing as it wasn't too big it was easy for even him. Just then, the two men from earlier turned the corner. "Stop him before he frees her!" One said. Peter froze, unsure of what to do. They had picked up weapons to fight with, and now they were charging at him. You swung the cell door open when they got close enough and jumped over Peter, taking the guards by surprise. You kicked one in the skins and jabbed the other in the eyes, taking the chance to steal their weapons. You knew that they weren't worth sparing, so you made quick work of them, taking out some of you anger in your blows. When you were certain they were dead, you started running down the hallway, Peter following. You knew the way out, and had no trouble finding the door. The only trouble now was escaping without getting killed.
"Peter, what are we supposed to do now?" You asked, hoping there was a plan. Peter smiled, winking, "Don't worry (Name)! I thought of everything! Hop on!" You hopped onto his back and he started to head outside.

It was chaos! Blood covering the ground, dead soldiers lying there, many burnt or marred beyond recognition. You gasped at the horror. You saw Feliciano and Lovino tag teaming against a mob, keeping them far enough away with their fire. Matthias and Emil were fighting separately but close together. Eduard, Toris, and Raivis were fighting together by Ivan who wasn't really moving around, rather just standing there and demolishing any human who got close enough. Alfred was up in the air, swooping down out of your range of vision. Gilbert and Ludwig were also fighting together, Gilbert protecting his younger brothers' back while Ludwig fought in the main courtyard. The platform you had been almost killed on was now half crushed. You had been blocking out the sounds for the most part until you heard one voice, louder than the others,
"You foul beasts! I will kill you all, one by one if I must!"
Adon.

You hopped off of Peter and searched for a weapon to use. Peter tilted his head, "What are you doing? We need to get out of here!" He said, glancing around. You shook your head, "No. I won't leave until that bastard's no longer breathing the same air I am." You easily spotted him, fighting against Antonio. Even from where you stood you could see the crazy gleam in his eyes. He swung his sword at Antonios tail, clashing with the large blade at the tip. Antonio pushed the man off easily, and swung his tail around, aiming for the mans neck. Adon ducked down just in time, sticking his own sword out and leaving a deep cut in the Spanish dragons tail. Antonio gritted his teeth against the pain, continuing to fight anyway. You charged forward, feeling a weird sensation inside. You really didn't recognize the feeling, but it gave you strength to run faster. You bared your teeth angrily, and when Adon turned around you let out as fierce war cry.

"I WILL NOT LEAVE THIS PLACE UNTIL THE LIGHT HAS LEFT YOUR EYES!!!"

Swords clashed, and suddenly you were fighting the man that had tortured you and nearly killed you. He would lunge, you would parry. You would try to jab at him, but he was too fast. Nothing else mattered now. All you were focusing on was him. All you wanted was to see the light disappear from his crazed eyes.
"You used witchcraft to heal yourself, hm? Or did one of your friends do this?" He asked, his eyes locked with yours.
"Wouldn't you like to know!" You snarled.
The two of you kept on fighting, neither gaining the upper hand until he tripped you up, sending you falling onto your behind.

"Well, I must say you fought better than I expected, for a beast." He told you, standing over you with a smirk.
You narrowed your eyes as he raised the sword. Something inside you just snapped.
As the plunged the sword down, you raised your hand to try to shield yourself from the blow as you let out a snarl. No, not a snarl, a loud roar.

Your hand changed, transforming from smooth (S/c) skin to beautiful (color) scales. Adons eyes widened as your body became encased in light. When he saw you again, you were no longer human, but a dragon. You weren't terribly big, but you were big enough to overpower Adon. You took no time to admire this new form, quickly pinning him to the ground.
You were choking him now, your heightened hearing able to hear the little gasps and coughs over the loud chaos of the battle.
"H-How...I was about to kill you and you choose now to transform...?"
You sighed sharply, "I'm no idiot, Adon. I waited, and waited, and waited to find an opportune time to change." You were actually surprised this happened. You hadn't expected this to happen in 100 years! But for the sake of pride, you pretended like you knew what you were doing. "And now, as the fort crumbles and the blood spills, I only see it fit for me to show my true power." Adon took in a small breath, "I hate you so much." Was all he said. You kept a straight face, "And I hate you. Only, I am the one who will defeat you." You flicked a claw over the exposed skin of his throat, slitting it. "May the fires that consume you in Hell be a thousand times worse than a dragons anger." You murmured as his copper eyes grew dull and lifeless.
You took a step back, breathing out a shaky sigh of amazement. You were a dragon! A real, moving dragon! Perhaps the fiery dragon from earlier had something to do with it. You saw Antonio staring at you, his green eyes wide. "Chica, have you done this before?" He asked, worry apparent in his voice. You shook your head, "No, but...I think this was meant to happen." You replied, giving him a small smile. Antonio smiled at you, nodding in understanding before returning to the fight. Peter was staring at you, eyes full of awe, "Wow! I didn't think you could do that (Name)!" He breathed, running up to you. You laughed, "Now's not the time to be admiring, now's the time to fight." The young dragon nodded and flew off to rejoin Tino and Berwald. You looked around, searching for any other men you would have to...well...you know.

You spotted Darius and Fyn fighting against Matthew, Darius actually using effective moves while Fyn mostly dodged attacks. Memories of Darius' harsh treatment flooded your mind as you charged towards the two. Matthew turned to give you a look of surprise, but he couldn't say anything before Darius aimed an attack for his heart. You had the Candians' back though, quickly deflecting the sword with your scaled paw and standing between the dragon and the man. "I can handle these two Matthew. Go help your brother." You told him, slightly surprised when he followed your suggestion. Darius narrowed his brown eyes at you. "So this is what you really look like, lizard."
    You growled in response.
"You'll make a very nice pair of boots, beast. Enough for me and Adon and the rest of our squad-"
"Adon is dead." You interrupted him, raising a bloody claw. Darius took a step back, his eyes widened in shock. "What? Are you saying you killed him?" He demanded, denial in his voice. You nodded, "Yes, I will take the credit of removing that wretch from this planet." Darius bared his teeth and charged at you, "YOU KILLED HIM! NOW YOU WILL DIE, YOU MONSTER!" He screamed, leaping up to avoid your swooshing tail. You snorted at his attempt and swiftly dodged to the side. He landed and turned on his heel to attack you again, using his speed to slice at your feet. You roared loudly, feeling the sharp pain of his sword cutting through your unprotected scales. You swiped at him, but he was too fast. Even though he was pretty fast, he was also very predictable. As he was about to make a killing strike, you figured out where he was going to go and intercepted him, snatching him half in your mouth. His torso and head were outside, and he struggled to free himself from your jaws. "You...You monster...I knew I should have killed you as soon as we captured you! Then Adon wouldn't be dead and neither would half of the kings army!" You huffed, closing your jaw a little bit, feeling your teeth penetrate his skin. He let out a cry of pain, "If you're going to kill me, then at least try to be humane about it!" He screeched, his nails digging into your scales. You hesitated for a few moments before dropping him. He struggled to look up at you, pure hatred in his eyes. There was no relief, no hope, nothing but hatred. He knew you hadn't spared him. You gave him a glare of your own before giving him the same treatment as Adon, using the same claw as before. Now your torturers were dead, and you could leave. Except there was one person in your way.
    Fyn.
He let out a scream as Darius's blood pooled around him. He took a few steps back, tripping and falling over. You walked over to him, looking down at him with emotionless eyes. He turned to look up at you, fear and hurt in his sky blue eyes. You leaned down and picked him up by the collar of his trainee jacket. He looked around frantically, "(Name)...I don't know what you're thinking, but please...just this once...don't...kill...me..." You closed your eyes. Did he really think you were going to kill the only human you actually gave a damn about? You stretched your wings out, beating them a few times to get the hang of them before taking off, feeling a different feeling than when you were riding on a dragon. Fyn covered his face as you flew over the city, landing in an open area that you assumed was a marketplace.

People screamed as you landed heavily, lowering your head to release Fyn. Fyn looked up at you, confusion clear in his features. "Why..." Was all he said. You snorted, "You weren't the only person who made a promise you know. I'm keeping my promise, just like you kept yours." You simply told him before taking off again, leaving the blond confused but relived.

Before you even reentered the battle, you heard the frantic cries of the soldiers who discovered both Adon's and Darius's bodies. "Adon is dead! Darius is dead! Surrender at once!" You heard a young man cry. The remaining soldiers stopped fighting, and the dragons momentarily paused to hear out the young man. You landed in the main courtyard, receiving odd looks from both man and dragon. You let your (e/c) gaze make eye contact with every dragon in the courtyard before opening your mouth,

"We have no more use to be here. You came to my aid and I am free. We need not be here any longer."
"Is that you (Name)?" Came a voice from behind you. You turned to see Arthur land beside you. You nodded silently. Arthur looked happy to see you, but also surprised. "I thought you couldn't become a dragon."
"She can't. At least not on her own." Lukas chimed in, "Her soul is one hundred percent human."
"If that's true, how come I'm a dragon now...?" You asked.
"I don't know. Perhaps there was more magic the potion than we thought."

You shook your head, "No, I think it has to do with a necklace." Just then, your body erupted into a ball of light. When you could see again, you were a human again. You held up the (color) stone, the Chinese dragon glinting in the light. "This thing did some weird stuff that I can't really explain." You told them. Wang squinted his eyes, "Hey, that's the pendant I lost! How did you get it?" You shrugged, "I found it right before I got captured." Wang nodded, "That explains a lot." He turned to look at the other dragons, "Well, if we are done here, we should leave. We have wounds to treat and we have what we were looking for." He nodded at you.

Arthur sighed and stretched his feathery wings, "I suppose so. There's nothing much left anyway." He was right, the fort had been trashed. Walls had been knocked down, buildings crushed, and bodies lay strewn about the ground. Thankfully, none were dragons.

The dragons began to ascend up into the sky, heading back to the Valley. The soldiers quaked in fear as the dragons flew overhead, some injured, some unscathed. Alfred landed beside you, lowering his neck so you could hop on. You ran up and hugged him, smiling widely. "I missed you." You whispered, knowing that he could hear you. You climbed onto his neck and hugged it tightly as he shot up into the air, watching as the nearly destroyed fort got smaller and smaller. You felt at ease among the dragons, even more so when you were miles away from the human cities and towns. Alfred smiled, "You know, Arthur wouldn't stop talking about how you were probably the empress from that one story. You know, the one with all the awesome dragons?" You nodded, "Yeah, Fyn told me about while I was a captive." Alfred raised an eyebrow, "Huh? Fyn? Who's that?" You giggled, "Just a friend that saved my life." Alfred nodded, "Oh. Well, a friend of yours is a friend of mine, especially if he saved you." You smiled as he continued, "Now, who's hungry? I know I am!"

You felt happy here. Genuinely happy. Maybe you were the empress of the fable.

Fine by me. As long as I get to be here, with the Dragons, I'm happy.
Just gonna put this here *Scurries away*

Note: This is NOT the end. There will be an epilouge c:

Neither Hetalia or the characters of Hetalia belong to me. They belong to Himaruya.
Fyn, Alys, Adon, and Darius are actors that were made up for the purpose of plot.
You belong to yourself.
I belong to myself.

DUDE!!! When it said cue epic music I freaked the f out cus I had the perfect music for this, ok so the first song is "Starfleet" for when all the dragons are deploying, the second song is "Queen of Crows" and the third is "Dark Ages" also for the evacuation part "All the Kings Horses" is good as well.oh! And for when reader chan is fighting "Titan Dream" is amazing! Anywhere you can fit it in "For the Win" and "All Is Hell That Ends Well" is awesome too. All songs are by an instrumental group called "Two Steps From Hell" and it's PERFECT EEEEKK~! I absolutely loveeee this fan fiction and thank you sooo much for making it!
